  1. BIG NEWS!  Great news, bad news, then good news.  Great news:  Mike Carey's first novel has just been published, titled The Devil You Know: A Felix Castor Novel.  480 pages of pure Mike Carey goodness.  The bad news is it's only been published in the UK for now, so anyone in another country won't be able to get it at their local bookstore (in the U.S. it'll probably be over a year, if it follows the classic pattern).  The good news:  that's what Amazon UK is for.  Here's a link to buy the book.

Feb 12th update completed.  Changes:

  1. MASSIVE RICHARD ARNDT UPDATE!  The old cliché "When it rains, it pours" really held true this week as Richard Arndt ended up with FIVE updates to his indexes, one of which he'd been waiting for 8 months to get finalized.  You can get them all at the Richard Arndt page.  So, here goes:
    1) Updated the Marvel B&W Horror Magazines index with interviews with Steve Bissette and Tim Conrad,
    2) Updated the Star*Reach index, which now includes a mini-interview with Steve Leialoha,
    3) Updated the Taboo index,
    4) Updated the Warren index, now including Vampirella's #113 issue from Harris Publications, and
    5) Updated the Warren Interviews page with an interview with Don McGregor.
Also, something pretty cool has come about with a little bit of help from Richard.  As Richard wrote:  "I'm really happy that I got Don & Joe Pruett together 'cause there's going to be new Sabre & Detectives, Inc. stories coming out of it."
Again, you can get them all at the Richard Arndt page.

  2. Loaded latest updates to all the bibliographies written by Michael Karpas.

Jan 16th update completed.  Changes:

  1. BIG NEWS!  It's always big news when someone new enters the annotation game and takes on a very popular but un-annotated series.  Ido Reif is now that "big news" -- he's begun to annotate Y: the Last Man, an excellent series if you haven't been reading it.  He's already done issues #1-4 -- check it out!

Great news!  Julian Darius at Sequart.com is following in the footsteps of Jess Nevins by turning his annotations into a book!  Julian expanded his annotations on the film "Batman Begins" to include essays, box office numbers of all of the Batman films, and a section about previous attempts to bring the failing Batman film franchise back from the dead.  The book, titled Batman Begins and the Comics is for sale at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble's website, as well as "fine bookstores throughout the country".  Congratulation to Julian!

Sep 18th update completed.  Changes:

  1. BIG NEWS!  Whenever Jess Nevins does new annotations, it qualifies as big news.  And whenever there are new annotations for an Alan Moore book, it's also big news (as can be seen from the traffic I get to the Alan Moore page).  Well, Jess has done annotations for Alan Moore's Top Ten:  The Forty-Niners and Top Ten:  Beyond the Farthest Precinct, so that's definitely big news.  As always, Jess' annotations are mirrored here with his permission.  You can access them from the Top Ten Index page.
